The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks

After going to the museum, we headed to the locks in Ballard. I hadn't been there since I went on a field trip in elementary school. It's really a cool place to go.

Review:
It's a great place to go for all ages. If you stay long enough, you will probably get to see a few boats go through. There is also a fish ladder with viewing windows. Late summer - early fall is the best time to see the Salmon. Next to the locks is a botanical garden, but we didn't walk through it.

Cost:
Free! (except for parking)

Return?
Yes

After the locks, I'd recommended going to the Portage Bay Cafe down the street for the weekend brunch!

Oh BTW..tickets to JFK are VERY cheap.

I made Greg give up his April 6-10 call if you want to go to NYC. I could show you around the place..oh the subway smell..miss it.
